First things first: I'm doing a midnight walk for St Osmund's Hospice at the weekend, and if anyone can spare 50p or a £1 to sponsor me, I would really appreciate it. My Just Giving page is here:

I really can't believe that the Wimbledon organisers have admitted Centre Court WTA matches are chosen on looks. I know it was blindingly obvious (Wozniacki v Makiri), but to come out and actually say it is just hilarious. Seems that JJ was right a year ago. Of course, she was roundly abused when she suggested it...but Dina and Sveta say it this year, and suddenly it's "Oh yes, they make a good point. We should investigate that further". Bullshit XD Poor Jelena. I am even more surprised now that Ana didn't get on the show courts in the early rounds, though I suppose she is having quite a forgettable year, heh. It doesn't bother me massively, because I am a sucker for the more glamourous, dramatic aspects of the WTA but it does bother me that they don't do the same with the men XD Venus should always, always be on centre court just like Federer is. Whatever they want to do on the other days is up to them. And I still think they could squeeze an extra WTA match on Centre Court, so they could have Venus play and then still have the likes of Makiri, Ana, Gisela etc. But meh. I just think the whole thing is rather funny.
John was away in Leeds last night, which sucked. I talked to Kim on the phone for over two hours (while watching the tennis, of course!), mainly boring her half to death with freakouts about a really weird dream I had on Sunday night. It totally stressed me, and worst of all, it wasn't one of the dreams that you can just forget about, because it was so incredibly real and totally related to my daily life. It was NOT good. Kim though, bless her, listened to it all, and I felt much better today even when things happened that could have made me freak out again. After speaking to Kim, I watched wrestling that I'd recorded on Sunday night and then fell asleep on the sofa with a replay of the England U-21's. Being alone sucks so badly :P And then today, John came back and has revealed that he has to go back to Leeds next Monday! This blows.
Today at work was long and boring. It just went on forever, until my Investing in Children group finally started at 5pm. We were making animal masks ready for Make a Noise in the Library fortnight, and that hour flew by which was a relief. There's a family of kids who come every week and they're lovely but incredibly demanding...and this week they were on holiday, which I have to admit was a bit of a relief! There were just five kids there instead and it was so much more manageable.
Had some bad news today about the wedding, which sucks. I suppose it was due though, after all the weddingy stuff we did at the weekend. Just the way it goes :(
A couple of days of happy to catch up on:
♥ John coming home! ♥
♥ Aimee getting (and liking) the present I sent her :)
♥ Andy Murray's win at Wimbledon. I admit that I still don't get into Andy's matches as much as I do others, but me liking him is a new development, so it'll take time. Most of my stress last night came from thinking about Kelle and how stressed out she would be XD I should get to watch a lot of his match tomorrow, but if he gets through, I do so hope Federer's semi lasts a while. I've been hoping for Andy/Andy or even Andy/Lleyton since the draw was made and I will not be overly impressed if I have to miss a lot of it.
♥ People saying I looked like Pocahontas at work today. They were saying it as a gip, but it was totally the look I was aiming for, so I was chuffed XD And I really don't understand using it to mock me. So I look like a Disney heroine...I can deal with that XD
♥ Catching up with lots of Grey's Anatomy on my Sky+. It's actually really depressing stuff lol, but I just love it. So ridiculously emotional and full of awesome.
♥ Getting paid! I really must try and save up for the honeymoon and Disneyland this month.
♥ Rey Mysterio vs Chris Jericho at The Bash. Two of my favourite all-time wrestlers (since my previous two favourite wrestlers died, I won't say that anyone is my favourite officially anymore, but they are up there and have been up there for a decade or more) ending their feud with a bloody brilliant, entertaining and skilful match. Loved. It.
♥ Still on wrestling. Matt Hardy being drafted back to Smackdown. They realised they've made a mistake in putting him on Raw, and they've fixed it. Well done, WWE.
♥ All the lovely old people at the library sponsoring me, especially one old man who gave me £5. Aaaaaaah :)
♥ My Empire arriving and giving Public Enemies five stars. I can't wait!
